About DYP
Mission StatementTo provide a forum that promotes community and civic involvement and fosters a balance of personal and professional growth.
In 1998 a group of Denton young business people came together to discuss avenues for encouraging professional growth and community involvement. The result was the creation of a non-profit organization: Denton's Young Professionals.

Within its first two years, the DYP membership grew from 10 founding members to over 100 members. Monthly events allowed members and guests to network, have fun and learn more about our growing community.
DYP members and guests have participated in the Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build, the North Texas State Fair & Rodeo Parade, Denton Arts & Jazz Fest, American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Big Brother and Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake, Denton ISD’s Adopt-a-School program, United Way of Denton County's Restaurant Campaign and have donated over $20,000 to non-profit organizations in the community. DYP has also raised over $7,500 for scholarships to be awarded to local college-bound students from Fred Moore High School in need of financial assistance. Scholarship funds have been most successfully raised through the annual DYP Live & Silent Auction. For more information, email us at info@dentonsyoungprofessionals.org.
